East Midlands Today at the Carillon Tower

On Friday September 5th Debbie and Mary met with Victoria Hicks from BBC East Midlands to record a news item about the opening of the Carillon Tower.  We were blessed with good weather for the outside shots and a couple of visitors who added their own complimentary comments to the recording.  The clip was broadcast on the East Midlands news on Sunday September 7th , both in the early evening news and the later edition.  It is hoped that it was viewed by local people who were not aware that the museum had reopened and will now take the time to come and visit the new exhibition space before it closes for the winter on September 27th.  At present the museum is open Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 4pm but closed on Thursday from 12.45 to 2pm while the Carillon is played by Caroline Sharpe.
